Fugitive's Plea

Pandora Hulse’s guilt is beyond question. The evidence decisively proves that at 2:00 AM on June 15th, she shot and killed her girlfriend, Eislyn O'Connor, in the parking lot outside Candor Suites. Why, if she was innocent, did the victim write Pandora's name in blood? Why, if she was innocent, did the culprit use her gun? Why, if she was innocent, did the killer's hoodie end up in her apartment? And why, if she was innocent, did she immediately go into hiding after the murder, before even being informed that she was a suspect? This case speaks for itself.

Yet oddly enough, later that day she used a payphone to call a local news outlet and deliver one singular statement.

"I didn't kill her."

Ridiculous. Who would believe that?
